IBM Think 2018 is just around the corner, where visionaries, experts and thinkers will meet in Las Vegas to explore new technology and tap into new opportunities to advance their organization. IBM Think 2018: Confessions of a Tableau Power User is a 4-day event includes a range of programs from speakers, labs, demonstrations and live entertainment and more. The emphasis on artificial intelligence will be a large focus at this year’s conference as well as cloud services and software. One of the key opportunities that many organizations will find is the chance to explore new methods of working smarter with their data and using different solutions to better understand customer behaviour and better insights to drive their business to the next step.
Newcomp Analytics will be partnering with the University of Regina to present a session at Think 2018. The session is called: Confessions of a Tableau Power User: The View from a University Analytics Office. This presentation will explore how the Institutional Research (IR) Office at the University of Regina is implementing a new enterprise installation of IBM Cognos Analytics and a data governance structure into their organization. The audience will be able to view the emerging trend of marketing and research applications working together to merge ad hoc analytics and trusted enterprise data sources to have a better understanding of data and analytics. Both organizations will share their experiences and knowledge of why the gap exists and incorporate a functional comparison of Tableau and Cognos Analytics into the session.
The session (ID:4501A) will be held on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 at 11:30 AM to 12:10 PM PST, in the Mandalay Bay South building on the second level. The speakers for this session will be Keith Fortowsky, Director of Institutional Research, from the University of Regina and Chris Foster, Practice Lead, from Newcomp Analytics. We hope everyone attending Think 2018 can make it out to this analytics session.
