Upcoming Guaranteed-to-Run IBM Business Analytics Courses

Newcomp Analytics is excited to confirm that a number of courses are guaranteed-to-run over the coming weeks, including a course for the newly released IBM Cognos Analytics (v.11).

Upcoming guaranteed-to-run courses include:

IBM Cognos Analytics (v11): Enterprise Administration – April 27th-29th – Markham – $2100/student
This course provides training to new administrators on the fundamental tasks of installing and configuring IBM Cognos Analytics, and administering servers and content in the environment. Participants will install and configure the IBM Cognos Analytics software, implement security, and manage the server components. Students will also monitor and schedule tasks, create data sources, and manage and deploy content in the portal and IBM Cognos Administration.

Introduction to IBM SPSS Modeler & Data Mining – May 2nd-3rd – Markham – $1400/student
This two-day course provides an overview of data mining and the fundamentals of using IBM SPSS Modeler. The principles and practice of data mining are illustrated using the CRISP-DM methodology. The course structure follows the stages of a typical data mining project, from collecting data, to data exploration, data transformation, and modeling to effective interpretation of the results. Students will learn the basics of how to read, prepare, and explore data with IBM SPSS Modeler, and introduces the student to modeling.

IBM Cognos Report Studio: Author Professional Reports  (Advanced) – Markham/ILO – $1400
This two-day course builds on topics learned in the Fundamentals course. The Advanced course is designed for professional report authors to learn advanced report building techniques using mostly relational data models, and ways of enhancing, customizing, and managing professional reports. Attendees will participate in interactive demos and workshops that illustrate key concepts while learning how to use the product.

IBM Cognos Report Studio: Author Reports with Multidimensional Data – Markham – $1400
This course is designed to guide professional report authors in building on their experience with Report Studio by applying dimensional techniques to reports. Through interactive demos and workshops, participants will learn how to author reports that navigate and manipulate dimensional data structures using the specific dimensional functions and features available in Report Studio.
