This course teaches students the foundations of Microsoft Office Excel. Students will gain the knowledge, the skills and the confidence to create, format, enhance and print simple spreadsheets. They will learn to create and develop Excel worksheets and workbooks in order to work with and analyze the data that is critical to the success of their organization.

Instruction will be personalized by version. Students have the option to progress through the course using Microsoft Excel 2010, Microsoft Excel 2013, or Microsoft Excel 2016.

This course is intended for students who wish to gain a foundational understanding of Microsoft Office Excel to create and work with spreadsheets.

Prerequisites:

The prerequisites for this course is an introductory course to Windows or a solid working knowledge of Windows.

EXCL2: Microsoft Excel – Level 2 / Med (2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, O365)

This course will teach students how to use formulas and advanced functions, create and format tables, sort and filter, visualize your data with charts. Students will learn how to leverage the power of data calculations and presentation in order to make informed, intelligent organizational decisions. They will work with functions and lists, create advanced formulas, protect spreadsheets and work with custom view.

EXC16L3: Microsoft Excel 2016 – Level 3/Advanced

This course teaches students how to analyze and report data frequently as well as work in collaboration with others to deliver actionable insights. Students will learn how to keep and maintain workbooks for all purposes, as well as automate complex or repetitive tasks, and use conditional logic to construct and apply elaborate formulas and functions that will put the power of Excel at their fingertips. Students will also learn how to perform advanced data analysis, and automate workbook functionality.
