IBM Cognos BI Administration (V10.2.2) is a three-day, instructor-led course that provides training to new administrators on the fundamental tasks of installing and configuring IBM Cognos BI, and administering servers and content in the environment. In the course, students will install and configure the IBM Cognos BI software, implement security, and manage the server components. Students will also monitor and schedule tasks, create data sources, manage and deploy content in IBM Cognos Connection and IBM Cognos Administration.

Students will learn the full scope of the metadata modeling process, from initial project creation to publishing dynamic cubes, and enabling end users to easily author reports and analyze data.

This course provides developers with knowledge of OLAP modeling concepts using IBM Cognos Transformer. Students will learn how to design, build, and maintain PowerCubes for use in IBM Cognos BI so that end users can easily analyze data.

This course teaches students how to access reports, create report views, schedule reports and run reports with options. Students will learn how to take action on BI events by creating tasks and notifications, as well as how to generate, view, manage, comment, set alerts on, and create watch rules for events and saved output. Additionally, this course will teach students how to personalize the appearance of IBM Cognos Connection, and how to create dynamic dashboards.
