This course provides Business and Professional Authors with an introduction to augmenting reports created in IBM Cognos Analytics – Reporting by creating reports using conditional formatting, defining Drill-through definitions, enhancing the report layout and exploring additional report building techniques. Students will examine each of these topics and learn to apply them to reports.

This course provides Business and Professional Authors with an introduction to advanced report building techniques using relational data models, and ways of enhancing, customizing, and managing professional reports.
K01005G – Extend and distribute reports using IBM Cognos Analytics – Reporting
This course provides Business and Professional Authors with additional report building techniques by extending reports using effective prompts and report specifications, distributing reports using bursting techniques, and enhancing reports with HTML.
K01006G – Create Active Reports using IBM Cognos Analytics – Reporting
This course provides IBM Cognos Analytics Report Authors with an understanding of Active Report content and functionality within IBM Cognos Analytics – Reporting. Students will be introduced to the basics of Active Report controls and variables, and gain skills in creating and updating Active Reports, which can then be distributed to and consumed by users in a disconnected environment, including on mobile devices. Students will learn how to create an Active Report, convert an existing report to an Active Report, and save an Active Report as a standalone MHT file.

This course guides authors in building on their expertise with IBM Cognos Analytics by applying advanced dimensional techniques to reports. Students will learn how to author reports that navigate and manipulate dimensional data structures using the specific dimensional functions and features available in IBM Cognos Analytics.

This training provides students with knowledge of metadata modeling concepts and how to model metadata using IBM Cognos Analytics. Students will learn the full scope of the metadata modeling process, from creating Data source connections, creating Data modules, to the sharing of metadata to other users, facilitating reports and analyses by themselves and colleagues.
K01014G – Extended Capabilities in IBM Cognos Framework Manager
This offering teaches IBM Cognos Framework Manager data modelers how to use some of the extended capabilities in the product. Students will learn ways to manage and maintain their models and packages. They will also learn about how to work effectively in a multi-modeler environment. In addition, they will explore other modeling techniques (such as leveraging user-defined functions) and how to customize metadata for a multilingual audience.
K01016G – Create Dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics
This course provides students with knowledge of the basics of dashboard creation using IBM Cognos Analytics. The students will be introduced to the product layout and functionality while gaining skills in creating interactive and informative dashboards. The students will identify data sources, customize content and presentation. In addition, students will learn how to save a dashboard, open a dashboard view in order to interact with it, and share dashboard content with other users.
N0BDM – IBM Cognos Analytics: Building Data Modules
This course teaches students how to create data modules using lightweight data modeling techniques. Students will learn how to identify data sources, create data servers, select data sources for the data module, identify and add intent, and identify joins/relationships between data sources. Other skills such as adding calculations, custom data groups, cleansing and formatting columns will be covered.
